There's a new nursing cover in town - and it doubles as a baby blanket
We've seen several different types of nursing covers or blankets. They all have their pros and cons but we really love Bosom Blanket. It's handmade by seamstresses right here in Colorado.
Of course, it's another mompreneur who was frustrated by other nursing covers out there. They didn't fold compactly because they have rigid necklines, they weren't always comfortable for baby, plus they twisted in the washing machine. So Shannon Kiebler took matters into her own hands and created Bosom Blanket, which has a soft neckline that allows mommy to see her baby during nursing and it's made of soft flannel on the baby side so they can be snuggly and comfortable. When you're not nursing it folds compactly as a blanket because it has an adjustable and removable neckstrap! Genius!
In addition, the product has four velcro corners to attach clothing clips. Two clothing clips are handpainted and can be easily attached to any of the four corners during nursing to provide extra coverage on windy days or for wiggly babies!
All Bosom Blankets come with a matching burp cloth that is not only beautiful but functional. The center is constructed of special super-absorbent terry cloth.
There is also a discrete double pocket on front for storage of clothing clips when not in use, or for pacifiers or for other products.
For those spring and summer babies, or just warm mommies, they recently launched a new nursing cover, the Bosom Blanket Lite. The Lite covers have all the features of the original Bosom Blanket, but it's not lined with soft flannel. It also doesn't come with the matching burp cloth.
Bosom Blanket retails for $45.
