Week 9
Holy growth spurt Batman! I think we’ve got one here and it hit mid-week. He’s been noshing every 2 hours, consistently. Oscra’s been napping for about 45 minutes to an hour, but the past few days he has been going to bed at around 7 and waking up at 4-4:30! WOO HOO! Man, I feel like a normal WOMAN (compliments of Shania Twain). After his feeding he then goes back to sleep for another 3 hours. I’m feeling renewed and like I am one lucky lady.
He found his hand with his mouth or his mouth with his hand – either way he did it! I’m thinking of entering my little prodigy in hand eating contest. He would totally win - he’s a genius and I knew it! It was the cutest thing to watch him work so hard to get his fist to his mouth. He gave himself a few good knuckle-sandwiches along the way – but that didn’t stop him. We sat and cheered him on (this is now how we are spending our days – glamorous isn’t it?) Now sucking on his fist is his favorite entertainment, who needs toys when you’ve got a HAND.
Trying the biggest loser yoga challenge (I started to type Biggiest – somebody’s thinking Wendy’s Biggie fries, mmm with a side of mayo – slip), it’s 6-8 weeks, 4-5 times per week. And I ask for clarification, is that 4-5 times per week of actual working out? Or I can just visualize some of those days? They really need to specify. The hardest part has actually been trying to find the time to do it. Even though it is at my house and I can have Oscar lay right beside me while I do it, for some reason it is still hard to try to work it into my schedule. How does one get everything done in a day (and on a lack of energy)? Especially when you have a business that needs you more than just part time. I know it will all work itself out into a routine, but why do I constantly beat myself up over everything I cannot get done. If beating myself up were cardio – I’d be the fittest person on the planet for sure! (Though I am pretty sure every mom does this to herself, and it’s not fair).
Our little man has his 2 month appointment next week. And I know the dreaded shots are coming. Not excited about that portion, but I am really intrigued to find out what his fighting weight is now. His cheeks and rolls are so squeezable - I love a chubby baby!
Adorable “Kiss Me” shirt on Oscar - compliments of a fabulous customer! Thank you!!!
